Get ready to turn up the volume—Dropkick Murphys are back with their brand-new album For the People, and we’re celebrating in true DIY style at Curious Collections!
Since their start in 1996, the Boston-born Dropkick Murphys have been waving the flag for punk rock, Irish folk, and working-class pride. Known for their raucous live shows, anthemic songs like “Shipping Up to Boston,” and their fierce commitment to community, the band has built a legacy that blends grit, melody, and brotherhood. Their music has soundtracked everything from sports arenas to late-night singalongs, and their latest album proves they haven’t lost an ounce of fire.
Released in July, For the People is a collaboration with artist Shepard Fairey, whose striking design graces the album cover. It’s an album that celebrates unity, defiance, and resilience—themes Dropkick Murphys have championed for decades.
To mark this release, we’re hosting a one-of-a-kind stencil event on Thursday, October 10 at Curious Collections. Here’s what’s happening:
🎶 Pick up a copy of For the People in-store - signed litho gift with purchase, while supplies last
🎨 Bring your own item—a jacket, tote bag, or anything you’d like to customize—or grab one of the totes or shirts we’ll have available for purchase. Then, using exclusive stencils designed around the album art, you can paint your own unique piece of wearable art right here in the shop.
🖼️ Take home a signed print with your album purchase (while supplies last).
🌹 To sweeten the deal, our handmade black roses crafted from vinyl records will be on sale all weekend—just $8 (regularly $12)—as part of the celebration.
This is more than just an album drop—it’s a chance to make something personal, connect with fellow fans, and celebrate one of punk’s most enduring bands in true community spirit. Don’t miss it—see you October 10th at Curious Collections!
