Working behind the counter at a record shop, you see all kinds of music pass through, but every once in a while, an artist comes along whose vulnerability just stops people in their tracks. That is Alex Warren for me.

If you have been following Alex's journey—from surviving an immensely tough childhood and heavy personal heartbreak to turning every ounce of that pain into raw, soaring, soul-baring anthems—you know his music is not something you casually play in the background. It is something you feel deeply in your chest. Following up on the massive global success of You'll Be Alright, Kid, his sophomore album WILDCHILD drops globally on Friday, August 28th. But here at Curious Collections, we are not waiting until street date to dive into this record together.

The Listening Party: Hear WILDCHILD Nearly a Week Early

We are hosting an official indie-exclusive listening party on Saturday, August 22nd at 6:00 PM, giving our Aggieland community a chance to hear the entire 13-track project almost a full week before the rest of the world gets their hands on it.

• Where: Curious Collections at The Record Garage — 3901 E 29th St, Bryan, TX 77802 (Right across from the TAMU bus stop, making it super easy to reach from campus!)

• Admission: Free and open to all ages (RSVP requested in advance; please note no day-of RSVPs will be accepted)

We will be dimming the lights and spinning the entire record uninterrupted over our high-fidelity shop speakers so we can all experience these heavy, cathartic cinematic tracks like "Fever Dream", "Passenger", "Rescuer", and "Fine Place to Die" together as a community.
