We’ve partnered with Herps Reptile Shop in Bryan, who will be bringing some of their incredible reptile friends (hint hint… hissss). To encourage support for their rescue efforts, we’ll be matching every donation you make with a Curious Collections voucher, valid for in-store shopping from September 1–14.
Along with great music and reptiles, the night will feature amazing giveaways: four winners will receive Deftones t-shirts, one very lucky winner will take home a vinyl test pressing, and posters and lanyards will be available while supplies last.
Deftones fans, it’s time. The Sacramento-born alternative metal icons are back with their long-awaited tenth studio album, Private Music, releasing on August 22, 2025. Produced by Nick Raskulinecz—who previously helped shape Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan—this record marks the band’s first studio release in five years, and the first without longtime bassist Sergio Vega. The lead singles, “My Mind Is a Mountain” and “Milk of the Madonna,” have already set the tone with haunting atmosphere, heavy riffing, and introspective soundscapes.
To celebrate, Curious Collections, the largest independent record store in Bryan/College Station, is hosting a listening party on Saturday, August 23 at 6 PM. While the album will be available to purchase by then, this is your chance to experience Private Music together with fellow music lovers and get immersed in its full intensity.
We’re now accepting pre-orders for both CD and vinyl editions. Our indie exclusive “fog color” white vinyl variant and indie-only CD edition come with full-color booklets and are available for pre-order for release-day pickup. We’ll offer giveaways, snacks, and community vibes—don’t miss your shot to win.
Deftones are already tearing through North America, closing the first leg of their 2025 arena tour on August 22 in Vancouver and continuing through mid-September across the U.S. and Canada. While no additional Texas dates are confirmed, this party makes for a perfect intro to the live experience.
