🎸 The Maverick of Modern Rock: The Jack White Legacy
To understand Frozen Charlotte, you have to look at the legendary, multi-decade journey of the man behind the fuzz pedal.
In 1997, Jack and Meg White, known as The White Stripes, shook the music world from the Detroit underground. Armed with just a guitar, a minimalist drum kit, and a strict red-white-and-black color palette, they revitalized garage rock. Albums like White Blood Cells and Elephant birthed "Seven Nation Army", a track whose bassline riff is sung in stadiums worldwide.
Jack’s relentless creativity couldn't be contained to one project. He went on to form the alternative power-pop outfit The Raconteurs and the heavy, swampy supergroup The Dead Weather.
In 2009, he founded Third Man Records, effectively helping spearhead the modern vinyl revival by pressing eccentric, high-fidelity records. His solo career has been a masterclass in experimentation—from the genre-bending Blunderbuss to the frantic, untamed energy of 2024’s No Name.
Now, Frozen Charlotte channels that exact same raucous, DIY garage-punk energy, backed by his powerhouse live band (Patrick Keeler, Dominic Davis, and Bobby Emmett).
