Cake - Fashion Nugget - Fashion Nugget, the 1996 breakthrough second album by Cake FINALLY gets a reissue this month! Everything about this record is quirky and fun and it’s always been a favorite of mine. While most people know the singles “The Distance” and their cover of “I Will Survive”, it's the opening track, “Frank Sinatra” that’s always been my favorite. I can’t wait for this one.

Dio - Holy Diver (Joe Barresi Remix) - Ronnie James Dio would have turned 80 years old on July 10. Holy Diver was a platinum-certified smash and one of the late singer-songwriter’s most groundbreaking achievements. Rhino revisits this epic metal moment with a 2LP mixed by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Slipknot). It includes the original nine tracks, plus the 1983 B-side version of “Evil Eyes” as a bonus track. Side four is decorated with an etching of the legendary demon Murry that graces the album’s iconic cover. The vinyl is kept in a gatefold sleeve that shows off newly commissioned artwork by longtime Dio artist, Marc Sasso.

George Michael - Older  - Originally released in 1996, Older spent three weeks at Number 1 in the UK and spawned 6 singles including Fastlove and Jesus To A Child. The album was a huge global success, going 6x platinum in the UK, as well as being verified platinum in another 22 countries. Written, arranged and produced by George, it sees him exploring new genres as he reflected on life, loss, love and healing. This iconic album is now available as a 2LP gatefold on 180g vinyl beautifully remastered from the original tapes

Neil Young with Crazy Horse - Toast - Neil Young reaches back into his overflowing vaults for another unreleased album, this time 2001’s Toast. Recorded at Toast Studios in San Francisco (hence the name) around the turn of the millennium, Toast features the brilliant Crazy Horse. Neil has mentioned this album occasionally over the years in and 2021 offered some detail about it: “The music of Toast is about a relationship,” he said. “There is a time in many relationships that go bad, a time long before the breakup, where it dawns on one of the people, maybe both, that it’s over. This was that time.”

Viagra Boys - Cave World - In this time of strife, insanity and confusion, only one band is depraved enough to offer themselves up as herald. Like sin-eaters if sins had to be ingested from a very small spoon, Viagra Boys have consumed the utterly incomprehensible chaos of our era and distilled it into 12 immaculate tracks of post-truth-cow-funk-kraut-wave-enlightenment.
