Arcade Fire & Owen Pallett - HER Motion Picture Soundtrack

Composed by GRAMMY Award-winning band Arcade Fire & their long-time collaborator and bandmate Owen Pallett, the score for Spike Jonze s critically acclaimed 2013 film Her has never been released, until now. The film's lush, piano-driven soundtrack received a nomination for "Best Original Score" at the 2014 Academy Awards and is regarded as one of the best film soundtracks of the past decade. Wistful, delicate and brimming with nostalgic warmth, the Her soundtrack is a stunning sonic companion to a story of modern love. Her, which won the 2014 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, is an original love story that explores the evolving nature and the risks of intimacy in the modern world. This 180-gram white vinyl release comes housed in package including 2-sided printed LP sleeve featuring a new liner note from Win Butler of Arcade Fire.

The Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker (4LP Deluxe Edition)

Shake Your Money Maker has always been a favorite of mine. The laid back Stonesy simplicity of it all makes it a perfect summer day spin. The 4LP Super Deluxe Edition includes the original album, remastered; 3 never-before-heard studio recordings; 2 unreleased demos from the band's early incarnation as Mr. Crowe's Garden; B-sides; a spectacular, high-energy 14-song unreleased concert recorded in their hometown of Atlanta, GA in December 1990; reproductions of an early Mr. Crowe's Garden show flyer, setlist and tour laminate; a 4" Crowes patch; and a 20-page book with liner notes by David Fricke.

Chris Cornell - No One Sings Like You Anymore

No One Sings Like You Anymore is Chris Cornell's handpicked collection of 10 cover songs, which he personally selected and sequenced to celebrate artists and songs that inspired him, including John Lennon's "Watching The Wheels," "Get It While You Can," popularized by Janis Joplin, a new recording of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U," and two songs currently available as digital singles, Lorraine Ellison's "Stay With Me Baby" and Chris's 2020 hit "Patience" originally recorded by Guns N' Roses.

Neil Young - After The Gold Rush (50th Anniversary Edition)

After the Gold Rush was recorded with the aid of Nils Lofgren, a 17-year-old unknown whose piano was a major instrument, turning one of the few real rockers, "Southern Man" (which had unsparing protest lyrics typical of Phil Ochs), into a more stately effort than anything on the previous album and giving a classic tone to the title track, a mystical ballad that featured some of Young's most imaginative lyrics and became one of his most memorable songs. But much of After the Gold Rush consisted of country-folk love songs, which consolidated the audience Young had earned through his tours and recordings with CSNY; its dark yet hopeful tone matched the tenor of the times in 1970, making it one of the definitive singer/songwriter albums, and it has remained among Young's major achievements. This is a standard black vinyl reissue, but a good pickup if you don’t already have a copy of this all time classic.

Sigur Ros - Takk (3LP)

Critically acclaimed Icelandic band Sigur Rós reissue Takk… on their own label Krunk. Their award winning highly lauded 4th studio album features the singles and fan favourites Glósóli, Hoppípolla and Sæglópur. Pressed on 2 x 12” and including a single sided etched 10” this beautifully packaged record is composed of a debossed gatefold sleeve with a single die cut page that holds the 10”. Takk… and is sold out world-wide. Takk… - Sigur Rós’s fourth album and the one where they finally got happy, albeit in their own inimitable and deeply inscrutable, north Atlantic way. This is the record that gave the world ‘Hoppípolla’, a song which cemented Sigur Rós’s reputation for being the go-to band for anyone wanting a sense of wonderful possibility in their film/TV show.
