If you thought it was getting hot in here, you’re right. MUNA—the greatest band in the world (their words, and honestly, ours too)—just kicked off their massive Gets So Hot Tour today in Brooklyn!
Coming off the heels of their brand-new album, the trio is ready to turn every venue into a safe, sweaty, and synth-filled sanctuary. Whether you’ve been a fan since the "Silk Chiffon" era or you’re just now discovering their "feminist punk DNA," this is the tour of the summer.
💃 The New Era: Dancing On The Wall
Released on May 8, 2026, MUNA’s fourth studio album, Dancing On The Wall, is a gritty, atmospheric departure from the sunshine-pop of their self-titled record. Produced by the band’s own Naomi McPherson, the album trades sweeping ballads for 90s-inspired punk energy and dark, club-ready synths.
From the high-octane title track to the rebellious spirit of "Wannabeher" (a nod to the riot grrrl legends Bikini Kill), the record explores the thin line between admiration, desire, and self-discovery. As the band puts it, they are "Trojan horsing sad lesbian music into the gay club."

🌈 Who is MUNA?
For the uninitiated, MUNA consists of Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin, and Naomi McPherson. The trio met at USC in 2013 and has spent over a decade crafting a legacy as one of the most important queer voices in indie-pop.
- The Breakthrough: After two acclaimed albums (About U and Saves The World), they signed to Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records in 2021, launching the viral hit "Silk Chiffon."
- The Sound: They are famous for "sad bangers"—songs that make you want to cry and dance at the same exact time.
- The Philosophy: All three members identify as queer and use their platform to foster a community where "everyone is a little bit gay." They also host the hit podcast Gayotic, giving fans a peek into their hilarious and insightful group dynamic.
"We want this record to have its time in the sun. It’s about leaning into the specificity of who we are." — Josette Maskin
