Who is Curious Collections?

Happy 1st Anniversary to Coyote Moon Coffee Here @ Curious Collections

Happy 1st Anniversary to Coyote Moon Coffee Here @ Curious Collections

One year ago, Coyote Moon Coffee transformed our former Listening Room into a cozy hub for caffeine and connection inside Curious Collections. Since then, vinyl and lattes have gone hand in hand, creating a space where our Bryan/College Station community gathers, studies, shops, and lingers a little longer. We’re so grateful for this partnership and can’t wait to celebrate many more years together.

Curious Collections Turns 10 This Year, Share Your Stories!

Curious Collections is turning 10 this October, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re inviting our community to share special memories from visiting, shopping, or attending events at the shop over the past decade. Whether it was your first vinyl purchase, a Record Store Day moment, or a memory that simply made you smile, we’d love to hear your story.

Selected submissions may be featured as part of our 10-year anniversary celebration. Thank you for being part of our journey!

Part 2: Texas Ave & Survival Mode

Part 2: Texas Ave & Survival Mode

Curious Collections didn’t begin with instant success or polished shelves. It began with survival. As a single mom, I worked three jobs to keep both my store and my home afloat—running the shop during the day, driving Uber late into the night, and renting out bedrooms when my kids were away. There were nights I felt physically sick wondering if I could pay the bills, but quitting was never an option. Instead, I kept listening to my customers, learning what they wanted, and slowly shaping the store into something our community needed.

How It All Started: Part 1 - West Virginia

How It All Started: Part 1 - West Virginia

I didn’t go to West Virginia to start a business. I went because my dad had died. What my brother and I found in his storage units—thousands of vinyl records and carefully collected pieces of his life—changed everything. In the middle of grief, surprise, and responsibility, I found something I didn’t know I was missing: purpose. What started as an inheritance became a calling, and what followed would shape not only my life, but a record store, a community, and a decade-long journey I never imagined.

Every vinyl record tells a story. Whether it's an album that reminds you of the first record you bought, the first concert you went to, or one that reminds you of a family member. This is our Owner, Mary's and this is her story.
