Marty Robbins - Gunfighter Ballads & Trail Songs
Limited 180gm colored vinyl LP pressing with bonus 7" single. Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs is the fifth studio album by Marty Robbins, released in September 1959. It is perhaps best known for Robbins' most successful single, "El Paso", a major hit on both the country and pop music charts, as well as for it's opening track "Big Iron," a song that gained a resurgence in popularity online as an internet meme. Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs reached #1 in both the country and pop music charts at the start of 1960 and won the Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Recording the following year.
Rob Zombie - The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy
Rob Zombie’s transformation from Goth Metal doomlord to Electric Space Hippie has been a weird move, but his new LP finds him mining familiar territory. A classic ZOMBIE album through and through with high-energy rages like The Eternal Struggles of the Howling Man and Get Loose to heavy-groove thumpers like Shadow Of The Cemetery Man and Shake Your Ass-Smoke Your Grass. This new slab of ZOMBIE madness hits in early 2021. He certainly loves long album titles too.
The Muffs - The Muffs
The 1993 debut album from The Muffs is a 41 minute blast of punk perfection. The songs are short and tight, Kim Shattuck’s vocals range from saccharine sweet to razor blade sharp and the band feels in love with what they’re doing. This is one of my favorite albums, so I consider this a must buy.
The Roots - Do You Want More?!!!??! (3LP Deluxe Edition)
Do You Want More?!!!??! was originally released on January 17, 1995. The deluxe version of the album will be issued as a 3xLP edition (with nine bonus tracks) and a 4xLP edition (with 18 bonus tracks). Each set will include a 24-page booklet. The bonus tracks, some of which are currently unreleased, were curated by Questlove. The booklet features images taken by Mpozi Tolbert, essays by Questlove and Black Thought, as well as track-by-track commentary.
