Curious Collections is moving! Our independent record store in Bryan, TX, is relocating just one mile away to a vintage service station on 29th Street. We are transforming this iconic space into The Record Garage, featuring an enclosed vinyl record corridor and in-house coffee bar. Whether you are looking for rare vinyl records in the BCS area or a community "3rd space" near College Station, join us this July for our phased expansion. Curious Collections didn’t begin with instant success or polished shelves. It began with survival. As a single mom, I worked three jobs to keep both my store and my home afloat—running the shop during the day, driving Uber late into the night, and renting out bedrooms when my kids were away. There were nights I felt physically sick wondering if I could pay the bills, but quitting was never an option. Instead, I kept listening to my customers, learning what they wanted, and slowly shaping the store into something our community needed.

Curious Collections is the only independent record store in Bryan–College Station, located near Texas A&M University. Discover vinyl records, CDs, turntables, Record Store Day exclusives, and a welcoming community space with an in-store coffee bar serving Coyote Moon Coffee. I didn’t go to West Virginia to start a business. I went because my dad had died. What my brother and I found in his storage units—thousands of vinyl records and carefully collected pieces of his life—changed everything. In the middle of grief, surprise, and responsibility, I found something I didn’t know I was missing: purpose. What started as an inheritance became a calling, and what followed would shape not only my life, but a record store, a community, and a decade-long journey I never imagined.

Every vinyl record tells a story. Whether it's an album that reminds you of the first record you bought, the first concert you went to, or one that reminds you of a family member. This is our Owner, Mary's and this is her story.
