Angels & Airwaves - Lifeforms
Angels & Airwaves have officially announced their highly anticipated sixth studio album, LIFEFORMS, that will be released September 24. They have also announced a world tour, beginning on September 29 of this year that will extend into 2022. Both of these announcements were first made from space, when the band partnered with Sent Into Space to launch a renewable hydrogen capsule which played an out of this world premiere of the entire album along with displaying the tour and album information. This celebration extends to the release of the band’s second track from the forthcoming record entitled “Restless Souls” which is written from the perspective of God as a letter to humanity regarding life’s trials and the necessity for humans to demonstrate resiliency.
Bad Brains - Rock For Light
Rock for Light is the second full-length album by Bad Brains, released in 1983. It was produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars. We're proud to present the original mix of the album, for the first time in decades, as the band originally intended. Most fans will be more familiar with the 1991 reissue, which was remixed by Ocasek. Version used an altered track order, significantly different mixes and a speed increase of the master which results in a raising of the pitch by one-half step. This reissue marks the fourth release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains' recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing.
Quicksand - Distant Populations
Distant Populations, just the fourth full-length album of Quicksand's career, comes as a comparatively swift follow-up to Interiors-which itself came a full 22 years after it's predecessor, 1995's Manic Compression. Critically lauded and deemed very much worth the wait, Interiors succeeded in reestablishing the band as the powerful and contemporary entity they had always been. Distant Populations has a punchier, more up-tempo sound than its predecessor; it's 11 songs are concise, carved sonic jewels boasting not a single wasted note; and it's raw power, it's gripping lyricism, leaps out from the very first listening.
Tremonti - Marching In Time
Renowned songwriter, Grammy Award winner and three-time Guitar World “Guitarist of the Year”/recent “Guitarist of the Decade” title recipient Mark Tremonti is no stranger to storytelling. Throughout his time with massive bands like Alter Bridge and Creed – and most-recently his solo band, TREMONTI – he has never strayed from his love of writing memorable songs with strong inspiration at their core. With their upcoming fifth album, Marching In Time, the band looks to build upon this trend while exploring their love for searing heavy music, drawing from current events throughout the last year to form the basis of each colossal track. While TREMONTI’s previous album – the critically acclaimed, worldwide-charting A Dying Machine (2018) – was an overall concept album with darker sentiments and story, Marching In Time carries a different vibe altogether. Featuring his signature execution of blistering, laser-precision guitar work and a reverberating, rhythmic metallic attack, the album emerges as an upbeat offering inviting the listener on 12 individual journeys.
