Alice Cooper - School’s Out

Squeezed in between the classics Killers & Billion Dollar Babies, School’s Out contains one of the biggest classic rock tracks of all time, the self-titled School’s Out. This anniversary reissue comes in a limited edition version of its original sleeve and on 180g vinyl.

Hiss Golden Messenger - Quietly Blowing It

Quietly Blowing It is an intimate and introspective offering that finds M.C. Taylor ruminating on themes of growing up, alienation, obligation, hope, purpose, family, class, self-discovery, healing, and rebuilding, fashioned with impressionistic tones. He says the record "feels like the most personal album that I've made because I'm not trying to explain anything to anyone except myself." Musically, the new songs are steeped in gospel, Southern soul, indie folk, and alt-country with tinges of blues, rock, and jazz influences running throughout.

Joni MItchell - The Reprise Albums (4LP)

THE REPRISE YEARS (1968-1971) features newly remastered versions of Joni Mitchell’s first four studio albums - Song To A Seagull (1968), Clouds (1969), Ladies Of The Canyon (1970), and Blue (1971). In the case of Song To A Seagull, the original mix has been recently updated by Mitchell and mixer Matt Lee. The cover art for THE REPRISE YEARS (1968-1971) features a previously unseen self-portrait Mitchell drew during the time period and includes an essay by Grammy winning singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile. The collection is presented on four 180 gram LPs in premium packaging and is a limited edition of 10,000. These four albums are some of her most beautiful pieces of work and would make a great addition to any record collection.

Motorhead - No Sleep ‘til Hammersmith (3LP)

I work under the assumption that it’s impossible to have too much Motorhead, so this massively expanded version of their 1981 live album, No Sleep ‘til Hammersmith is a must have for metal fans. The No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith album; brand new remaster created from the original tapes. Pressed on vinyl as a triple album in a 20 page bookpack. Includes a live album of a newly unearthed, previously unreleased concert from the Short Sharp Pain In The Neck tour. More Motorhead is always good.

Queensryche - Operation:Mindcrime & Empire

One of the best 80’s metal records (Operation: Mindcrime) and one of the last great metal albums of that era (Empire) are both seeing a reissue this week. The new version of Operation: Mindcrime was remastered at Abbey Road Studios and comes on 2 LP’s. Empire is a standard reissue, but one that this album has sadly lacked for a number of years. Operation: Mindcrime is one of my favorite metal albums of all time and is an album I will gladly praise to any and all that will hear me.

Nine Inch Nails - Hesitation Marks

I don’t think the latter years releases from NIN get enough praise, especially 2013’s Hesitation Marks. This album finally sees a reissue this week and it's well deserved. Right out of the gate, “Copy of a” & “Came Back Haunted” set the bar pretty high for the rest of the LP and have ended up being two of my favorite NIN tracks. If you haven’t listened to much of the later NIN works, do yourself a favor and pick this one up.
