Rhino is geared up and ready for 2022 with their new batch of Start Your Ear Off Right albums. This year has some interesting diversity to it, so we’re going to check out a few different genres and albums. Our third and final installment covers two punk rock classics, two amazing R&B albums and one 80’s classic.

Ramones - Rocket To Russia (Clear Vinyl) Click To Order - The first four Ramones albums are bonafide classics, and Rocket To Russia may be the best of the bunch. With Teenage Lobotomy and Shenna Was A Punk Rocker, its hard not to love it.

Richard Hell & The Voidoids - Blank Generation (Translucent Blue Vinyl) Click To Order- One of the original NYC punk bands, their music was part punk, part no wave and their visual style, including safety pinned clothes, would influence the burgeoning punk rock movement in the UK. Blank Generation is a fantastic album.

Otis Redding - The Best of Otis Redding (Translucent Blue Vinyl) Click To Order - Otis Redding is one of the best singers and performers of all time, taken from us far too soon. This 16 track best of is completely amazing and still showcases some of what made him one of the greatest of all time. This compilation is one of my top ones for SYEOR and is a must have for me. Mr. Pitiful is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Aretha Franklin - Sparkle (Crystal Clear Vinyl) Click To Order - While this is also technically a soundtrack, the 1976 movie Sparkle features songs written and performed by Aretha and Curtis Mayfield. While the songs were performed by the movie stars in the film, the soundtrack is all Aretha. This will be its first reissue since its original 1976 pressing.
