Anna Bonitatibus * Fogli D'album - Rossini Rarities CD

In Rossini Rarities, mezzo-soprano Anna Bonitatibus explores Gioachino Rossini's little-known Fogli d'album - occasional compositions written for friends, patrons, and special occasions that offer a surprisingly personal glimpse into the composer's life. Many of the works are recorded here for the first time and presented in chronological order, allowing listeners to trace both Rossini's life story and his artistic development. Together with pianist Adele D'Aronzo, Anna Bonitatibus adopts an approach rooted in intimacy rather than operatic display. Their refined partnership allows these miniature masterpieces to unfold with elegance, warmth and remarkable naturalness, revealing them not as peripheral curiosities but as an essential facet of Rossini's artistic personality.
