Pre-Order: Ekaterina Shelehova * Fables [CD]

From her viral hit 'Earth Melodies' to her performances with the band ERA, Ekaterina Shelehova is a classically trained singer-songwriter who blends opera, folk and cinematic soundscapes. Her voice transcends boundaries - a spirit she shares with Worakls, with whom she has been touring for two years. Together, they are now presenting 'Red and Gold', a track from Worakls' new album, 'From One Blink to Another', and today Ekaterina is releasing her new solo album: 'Fables'.'Fables' is an album blending classical singing with cinematic, folk and contemporary influences. The album is structured around a narrative, with tracks inspired by myth and nature. Throughout 'Fables', the voice takes on multiple roles: at times lyrical, at times intimate and fragile; it is sometimes used almost like an instrument, through layered textures and vocalises. The music oscillates between delicate moments and sweeping, cinematic arrangements, whilst maintaining a coherent atmosphere. At the heart of 'Fables' lies a collection of stories: each song has it's own character, collectively tracing a journey into a parallel, fantastical world, somewhere between memory, dream and fairy tale.
