Reference Recordings is proud to present this new album containing works for cello and piano by five American composers, all from East Coast states: Amy Beach, Paul Creston, Aaron Copland, Frederick S. Converse and Samuel Barber. Written between the late 19th century and mid-20th century, these works are special favorites of the artists, Sergey Antonov (cello) and Ilya Kazantsev (piano). These two award-winning, Grammy- nominated performers are each sought-after solo performers, but also perform frequently as a duo and have recorded several albums of traditional piano repertoire as well as their own transcriptions.
