Mark Anderson * Julius Rontgen: Pno Music Vol. 7 CD

This recording is the seventh in a series devoted to the piano music of the German-Dutch composer Julius Rontgen. Throughout this project, my admiration for hismusic-both for solo piano and for two pianos-has grown continually deeper. At the same time, I remain astonished that this repertoire has been neglected for so many decades. Since beginning this journey in 2014, it has become ever clearer to me that Rontgen's piano works, particularly his solo and chamber music for keyboard, deserve far wider recognition. My work as a performer, recording artist, and musical archaeologist has been guided by that conviction. With the support of Nimbus Records and Nimbus Music Publishing, I hope to help bring this rich body of music to the wider audience it deserves. © Mark Anderson
