River Shook * River Shook [New CD]

River Shook's self-titled solo debut arrives June 26 via their own label, Blackberry River, marking a bold new chapter after the end of Sarah Shook & the Disarmers. The album transforms a shoestring process into a sweeping, fully realized sound. With searing honesty, vivid storytelling, and a blend of soaring electric guitar and shimmering pedal steel, Shook's voice cuts through with striking clarity. The songs explore love, distance, and emotional reckoning, balancing heartbreak with resilience and defiance. Both intimate and expansive, River Shook is a powerful statement of reinvention and hard-won self-truth.
