Swervedriver * Future Ruins - Baby Blue (Blue) [Colored Vinyl]

UK Shoegaze legends, now on baby blue vinyl! "Future Ruins achieves everything an admirer could ask of the reunited band's new album... Swervedriver now posses a melancholic, autumnal undertow that suits them like a little distinguished grey in the whiskers... a career-best peak... Future Ruins pulls off a canny trick, perfectly channeling their past, while making sense in the present" - 4 stars, MOJO. "The spacious, Neil Young-ian rumbling of the title track and the bulked-up power-pop of 'Spiked Flower' both see co-founders Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge venture beyond the template of Raise and Mezcal Head without making the faithful worry they've ditched their distortion pedals" - 7/10, Uncut. "That first song, 'Mary Winter,' is a heavy wave of swirling guitar fuzz offset by the soothing balm of Franklin's voice." - Stereogum
