Wasiucionek-Malgorzata Potera * Dream & Beyond CD

Dream & Beyond, the captivating new release from the acclaimed duo Malgorzata Wasiucionek-Potera (violin) and Andrzej Karalow (piano). Following their Fryderyk 2024-nominated album Life & Beyond, the duo returns with an evocative concept album exploring the ethereal landscapes of dreams and modern chamber repertoire. Anchored by a poetic literary motif by Maciej Papierski and featuring original artwork by Karalow, the program brings together short masterpieces by contemporary giants-from the subtle Japanese lyricism of Toru Takemitsu to the turbulent intensity of Einojuhani Rautavaara and Erkki-Sven Tuur's syncopated Conversio. Highlighted by the world-premiere recording of Karalow's own Air, Dream & Beyond is a masterclass in chamber intimacy, virtuosity, and atmospheric storytelling.
