One of the best things about the ongoing vinyl revival is that there are a ton of great records seeing quality reissues or box sets. There are quite a few really good ones out recently that deserve your attention.
Nashville gave up on country music years ago and now just churns out twangy pop music that has more akin to boy band music than country, folk or bluegrass music. Personally, I can’t stand what is considered country music now, but there are artists out there that still do make real country music and it’s fantastic.
November normally sees the last few releases leak out before things shut down for the holidays. This year is just a bit different due to how Covid has affected the release calendar already. So, instead of a downturn in releases, it seems like it’s even busier than normal.
September is just around the corner, we’re approaching Record Store Day Drop #2 and it’s still 100 degrees in Texas. Maybe it’s best to just stay inside, spin some records and try to relax with a few new releases.
